Tamarack Sunrise
I don’t usually shoot subjects silhouetted against a sunrise like this but I found the patterns created
by the yet to needle out tamaracks against that wonderful sky irresistible. The icing on the cake
was the almost perfectly still water bending the trees into a dreamlike reflection. A bit later in the
spring, after the needles came out on the tamaracks obscuring the patterns and the sky, this
picture simply would not be there.
