November

It was the beginning of November, the whitetail rut was starting and the forecast was for unusually warm weather so I decided to take advantage of the warmth and went camping in the Cypress Hills for a few days. The bucks are on the move a lot more during the rut, increasing my chances of photographing one greatly but to get close inning still usually means sitting silently for hours, something that I don’t enjoy in the cold, so the warmer weather made it oh so much more enjoyable. Although when a magnificent guy like this comes into camera range I probably wouldn’t feel the cold at all.
