Stories over the Table
As a young man of 16 I helped my father and a bunch of his hunting buddies build a moose hunting cabin. For many years
afterward I would go up hunting to the cabin with them. I enjoyed the hunting but the highlight of these trips was always
sitting around the plywood table in the evening, listening to the stories flowing back and forth. Some of them were about
hunting but many were about the days of their youth, adventures, work, and just life in general. I could sit and listen
all evening long to those stories. Time has taken some of the storytellers but images like this always make me remember
them and their stories over the table.
