Not in Kansas Anymore

On my first visit to Vancouver Island’s west coast, Mother Nature treated me to three days of great rain-free weather in one of Canada’s rainiest regions. In this picture the receding tide has created interesting patterns in the wet sand and because that sand is so saturated it is reflecting the beautiful colors of the sky. Having lived all my life in Canada’s interior, whenever I visit the coast I am always filled with a sense of wonder by the power and vastness of the world’s oceans.
