Warm Heart

I would not have wanted to be out here on the day these drifts were created, but I was sure glad to be there on a -30 degree day to photograph them. Just a couple of minutes after this shot, the sun was down and my third and last camera battery of the day was dead, sapped by the cold. As a photographer, when I come upon a scene like this, I don’t even notice the cold. At least not till the sun is down and it’s time to hike back to the car with frozen body parts but a warm soul.
