Fishing on the Madawaska

As I was slowly paddling my way down the Madawaska in Algonquin I came upon this Great Blue Heron. In the summer he probably saw so

many canoes that now he totally ignored me and I slowly drifted along taking pictures of him as he fished in shallows along the river. In this

particular shot he flew right in front of my canoe, from one side of the river to the other, totally ignoring the strange floating human saying “Yes!”
